In order to complete this course successfully, learners will be expected to complete specific assignments AND/OR a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE). There are no exams for this course.
What is the difference between an OHS Representative and an OHS Coordinator?Every workplace must, by law, have OHS representatives and coordinators, so what is the difference?
An OHS representative will manage and communicate all OHS needs within a department and will communicate their OHS concerns with the OHS coordinator.
An OHS coordinator will communicate with the OHS representatives of each department and represent the OHS committee to the senior management.
Both OHS representatives and coordinators work exclusively in office environments. They are essential to the legal and safe functioning of an office environment but this does not qualify them to work as construction or mine safety officers.
