This workout is designed for pilates instructors who need to work with people who need to perform exercises with very little movement in their spine.  All exercises need to be performed with all areas of the spine remaining in neutral alignment in the sagittal, frontal and transverse planes.  Variations and modifications to tailor workouts for different levels of fitness and the use of props have been included.  The workshop focuses on:
– Exercises that cover a number of variations and modifications so that the workout can be tailored to a variety of fitness levels.
– Options for the use of small props
– Understanding the goals of the exercises with the following in mind:-
*The prevention of falls;
*Isolation of the core and periphery;
*Integration of the core and periphery;
*Strengthen of the core and periphery;
*Increasing balance;
*Improving range of motion; and
*Developing stability
