This EFO Weight and Balance Course gives the learners the ability to perform aircraft weight and balance calculations, using data selected for the specific operation and by applying the appropriate rules in order to ensure the safe and optimal loading of the aircraft.

Learners will produce a load and weight and balance folio which meets all applicable safety and legal requirements.

Course overview

The EFO Weight and balance course is a combination of 3-unit standards that make up the required qualification as required by SACAA, the 3 Unit standards are.

SAQA ID 120157 - Demonstrate understanding of aeroplane loading

SAQA ID 25212 - Calculate and adjust aircraft weight and balance parameters

SAQA ID 252122 - Produce aircraft load-sheets

On conclusion, the candidate will receive 30 Credits on the NQF which may be added to a final qualification.

EFO college was opened in 2010 and initially traded as EFO Consulting. After Receiving our Initial SACAA approval, we traded through 2011 with the approved training programs.

In March 2012, we received final approval from the SACAA and became the first South African School, approved for the provision of Flight Dispatch training products to many significant airlines and small operators throughout South Africa.

Shortly after the receipt of our official ATO Certification we spread our wings and received training contracts in Kuwait and Botswana, which introduced us to the international aviation market.

Our lead instructor and Director Lampies Enslin has been on contractual agreement with the navigation giant Jeppesen in providing training from Kenya to Dubai on the FAA Dispatchers license.

One of our biggest achievements have since been the approval of 10 Unit Standards in accordance with the SAQA NQF, to bring us even closer to finalizing and becoming the first and to date, the only provider of subject training towards the National diploma in Flight Dispatch on the South African Qualification Framework.

Our aim is to continue reaching out and broadening our borders to the greater Africa, finalizing the 21-unit standards required for the National diploma and presenting all the products as an aviation course to empower people with knowledge and skill.
