PMP Training Series Overview

This training series has been designed to prepare participants to take the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exam, and is based on the information covered in the 11 areas of study used to formulate the exam, including the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Fifth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2013. This is an advanced level PMP® training series that will count for 21 PDU/Contact Hours. In addition to providing a comprehensive presentation and review of the material covered on the exam, this series will guide the student through the exam application and registration procedures. Included with the series are over 1300+ review questions and a Simulated Final Exam to prepare participants to succeed. This training is intended for professionals who are preparing to take the Project Management Professional Exam. Students can claim 21 PDU/Contact Hours upon completion. If you are interested in a practical introduction to the profession, the Introduction to Project Management series is recommended as a prerequisite. This course corresponds to the PMP® 2016 Update.

Career Path: PMP certification holders earn 17 percent more than their non-certified peers according to the Project Management Salary Survey—Eighth Edition. This certification can lead to Project Management jobs across all different fields, including, but not limited to, IT, Sports, Biotech, Engineering, Manufacturing, Advertising, Healthcare, and Insurance.

The Project Management Professional (PMP)® is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. To qualify for the PMP®, candidates must either (1) Have a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent), 7,500 hours experience leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education or (2) a four-year degree, 4,500 hours experience leading and directing projects, and 35 hours of project management education.
